Day 1: Arrival in Tribhuvan Int’l airport and transfer to hotel

  • Activities: Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Notes: Rest and prepare for the trek. You can explore some of Kathmandu’s cultural sites if time allows.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Dhap Bazar

  • Activities: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazar. The journey typically takes about 8-10 hours, depending on road conditions.
  • Accommodation: Lodge or guesthouse in Dhap Bazar.
  • Notes: Dhap Bazar is a small, remote village where you can begin your trek. The drive offers scenic views of the countryside and hills.

Day 3: Dhap Bazar to Jhapre

  • Activities: Trek from Dhap Bazar to Jhapre (2,900 meters/9,514 feet). The trek usually takes about 5-6 hours.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Jhapre.
  • Notes: Jhapre is a beautiful village with excellent views and a good place to acclimatize.

Day 4: Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp

  • Activities: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp (3,600 meters/11,811 feet). This section takes around 6-7 hours.
  • Accommodation: Lodge or camp at Pikey Base Camp.
  • Notes: Prepare for the ascent to Pikey Peak the next day. Enjoy the serene environment of the base camp.

Day 5: Pikey Base Camp to Pikey Peak and back to Junbesi

  • Activities: Early morning trek to Pikey Peak (4,065 meters/13,307 feet) for sunrise views. Return to Junbesi (7-8 hours total trek time).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Junbesi.
  • Notes: Sunrise at Pikey Peak offers panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Everest.

Day 6: Junbesi to Phaplu/Salleri

  • Activities: Trek back to Phaplu or Salleri (approximately 5-6 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Phaplu/Salleri.
  • Notes: Enjoy the journey back through the beautiful landscapes.

Day 7: Phaplu/Salleri to Kathmandu

  • Activities: Travel back to Kathmandu by flight or road.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Notes: Use this day to rest or explore Kathmandu.

Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu int’l airport

  • Activities: Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before departure.
