Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

  • Activity: Explore Kathmandu’s cultural sites (e.g., Swayambhunath, Durbar Square) and prepare for the trek.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi-1503

  • Activity: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (approx. 7-8 hours). Syabrubesi is the gateway to the Langtang region.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day 4: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel-2470m

  • Activity: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (approx. 5-6 hours). The trek follows the Langtang River through lush forests and scenic landscapes.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Lama Hotel.

Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village-3430m

  • Activity: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (approx. 5-6 hours). The village offers fantastic views of the Langtang range and local Tibetan culture.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Langtang Village.

Day 6: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa-3865m

  • Activity: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (approx. 4-5 hours). Kyanjin Gompa is a significant monastery with stunning mountain views.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 7: Explore Kyanjin Gompa

  • Activity: Spend a day exploring Kyanjin Gompa and its surroundings. Hike to Kyanjin Ri or Tsergo Ri for panoramic views of the Langtang Himalaya.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 8: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

  • Activity: Trek back from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (approx. 6-7 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Lama Hotel.

Day 9: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi

  • Activity: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (approx. 5-6 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day 10: Syabrubesi to Dhunche and Drive to Sundarijal

  • Activity: Drive from Syabrubesi to Dhunche (approx. 2-3 hours), then drive from Dhunche to Sundarijal (approx. 4-5 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Sundarijal.

Day 11: Sundarijal to Chisapani

  • Activity: Trek from Sundarijal to Chisapani (approx. 5-6 hours). This trek passes through lush forests and small villages, offering excellent views of the Himalayas.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Chisapani.

Day 12: Chisapani to Gosainkunda-4380m

  • Activity: Trek from Chisapani to Gosainkunda (approx. 7-8 hours). Gosainkunda is a sacred alpine lake surrounded by high peaks.

Day 13: Gosainkunda to Sing Gompa

  • Activity: Trek from Gosainkunda to Sing Gompa (approx. 6-7 hours). Sing Gompa is a small village with a cheese factory and offers beautiful views.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Sing Gompa.

Day 14: Sing Gompa to Dhunche

  • Activity: Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche (approx. 4-5 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Dhunche.

Day 15: Dhunche to Kathmandu

  • Activity: Drive from Dhunche back to Kathmandu (approx. 7-8 hours).
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Departure

  • Activity: Transfer to the airport for your departure.

Usefull Info

  • Permits: You will need a Langtang National Park Permit and TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card for this trek. Obtain these permits in Kathmandu.
  • Accommodation: Lodges are available along the trek, but facilities can be basic in more remote areas.
  • Weather: The best times for this trek are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is generally clear and stable.
