Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Activity: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel, and rest.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m)

  • Activity: Fly or drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (flight is about 25 minutes; drive is approximately 6-7 hours). Spend the rest of the day exploring Pokhara.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 3: Pokhara to Nayapul to Ghandruk (1940m)

  • Activity:
    • Drive: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (approx. 1.5 hours).
    • Trek: Start the trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk (approx. 4-5 hours). The trek takes you through beautiful terraced fields and forested trails.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 4: Explore Ghandruk and Surroundings

  • Activity:
    • Explore: Spend the day exploring Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village. Visit the local museum, observe the traditional architecture, and enjoy the stunning mountain views.
    • Day Hike: Optionally, take a short hike to nearby viewpoints or visit the local monastery.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 5: Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara

  • Activity:
    • Trek: Trek back to Nayapul (approx. 4-5 hours).
    • Drive: Drive from Nayapul back to Pokhara (approx. 1.5 hours).
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 6: Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • Activity: Fly or drive back to Kathmandu (flight is about 25 minutes; drive is approximately 6-7 hours). Enjoy your last day in Kathmandu, perhaps visiting some key attractions or doing some shopping.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 7: Departure

  • Activity: Transfer to the airport for your departure.

  • Permits: For the Ghandruk Trek, you’ll need an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), which can be obtained in Pokhara or Kathmandu.
  • Accommodation: Lodges and teahouses are available along the trek, providing basic amenities.
  • Weather: The best times for this trek are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons when the weather is generally clear and mild.
