Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Activity: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel, and rest.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

  • Activity: Explore Kathmandu’s cultural sites (e.g., Swayambhunath, Durbar Square) and finalize trek preparations.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Besisahar

  • Activity: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (approx. 6-7 hours). This is the starting point of your trek.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Besisahar.

Day 4: Besisahar to Chame-2670m

  • Activity: Drive from Besisahar to Chame (approx. 4-5 hours). This is a beautiful town with views of the surrounding peaks.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Chame.

Day 5: Chame to Pisang-3300m

  • Activity: Trek from Chame to Pisang (approx. 5-6 hours) through pine forests and traditional villages.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Pisang.

Day 6: Pisang to Manang-3540m

  • Activity: Trek from Pisang to Manang (approx. 5-6 hours). Manang is a significant village on the Annapurna Circuit with stunning views.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Manang.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Manang

  • Activity: Spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. Explore the village, visit the Himalayan Rescue Association clinic, and take a short hike for acclimatization.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Manang.

Day 8: Manang to Khangsar

  • Activity: Trek from Manang to Khangsar (approx. 4-5 hours). Khangsar is a small Tibetan-style village.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Khangsar.

Day 9: Khangsar to Naar-4110m

  • Activity: Trek from Khangsar to Naar (approx. 5-6 hours). Naar is a remote village with traditional Tibetan culture.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Naar.

Day 10: Explore Naar

  • Activity: Spend the day exploring Naar. Visit local monasteries and explore the surrounding landscapes.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Naar.

Day 11: Naar to Phu-4250m

  • Activity: Trek from Naar to Phu (approx. 5-6 hours). Phu is a beautiful and isolated village known for its traditional culture.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Phu.

Day 12: Explore Phu

  • Activity: Spend the day exploring Phu. Visit local monasteries, explore the village, and enjoy the panoramic views.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Phu.

Day 13: Phu to Naar-4110m

  • Activity: Trek from Phu to Naar-6hrs
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Naar

Day 14: Naar to Ngawal via Kang la pass-5320m

  • Activity: Trek from Naar passing Kangla  (approx. 8-9 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Ngawal

Day 15: Ngawal to Manang

  • Activity: Trek from Ngawal to Manang (approx. 4-5 hours). Retrace your steps back through the beautiful landscapes.
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Manang village

Day 16: Manang to Thorong phedi-4600m

  • Activity: Trek  from Manang pass through Yak kharka (approx. 6-7 hours).
  • Accommodation: Lodge in Thorong Phedi

Day 17: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong la pass-5416m

  • Activity: Pass Thorong la pass around 9-10 hrs walk
  • Accommodation: Hotel at Muktinath

Day 18: Muktinath to Jomsom

  • Activity: Walk from Muktinath passing Kagbeni, Yekle Bhatti for 6-7hrs
  • Accommodation: Overnight at Jomsom

Day 19: Jomsom to Pokhara

  • Acivity : Fly from Jomsom Airport to Pokhara
  • Accomodation : Overnight at Pokhara

Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu

  • Activity: Transfer to the airport for your departure.

 

Usefull Info

  • Permits: You’ll need an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and a special Restricted Area Permit (RAP) for the Naar and Phu valleys. These must be arranged through a registered trekking agency.
  • Accommodation: Lodges are available along the trek, but in some remote areas, facilities might be basic. Be prepared for possible camping in some sections.
  • Weather: The best times for this trek are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is generally clear and stable.
