The Tsho Rolpa Dudhkunda Trek is another challenging and rewarding trekking route in the Rolwaling region of Nepal. The Tsho Rolpa trek offers a blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion and moderate challenge suitable for trekkers with some experience in high altitude environment. It’s an opportunity to explore a less trodden area of Nepal, appriciate Himalayan landscapes and interact with Sherpa and Tamang communities along the way.
Tsho Rolpa is Nepal’s one of the biggest glacier lake situated at the altitude of 4580m where as Dudhkunda is another pristine Blue lake situated in the altitude of 5600m. Prayer’s flag and mountina reflection on Pristine lake made destination more attractive and heavenlike feeling.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
- Activities: Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Rest and prepare for your trek.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Full day Sightseeing around Swayambhunath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square
- Activities: Breakfast at hotel and drive to Swayambhunath temple and Drive back to Kathmandu Drubar Square and we gonna have Lunch.
- Accomodation:Hotel in Kathmandu Hotel
Day 3: Kathmandu to Chetchet (1377m)
- Activities: Drive from Kathmandu to Chetchet. The journey takes approximately 8-10 hours by road.
- Accommodation: Guesthouse in Chetchet.
Day 4: Chetchet to Simi Gaon (1900m)
- Activities: Steep climb from Chetchet to Simigaon passing through bridges. Tamang and Sherpa peoples settlement and their hospitality can be found during your walks.
- Trek Time: Approximately 4-5 hours.
- Accommodation: Guest house in Simigaon
Day 5: Simi Gaon to Dongang (2791m)
- Activities: Trek from Simi Gaon to Dongang. This part of the trek involves ascending through beautiful rhododendron forests and small villages.
- Trek Time: Approximately 5-6 hours.
- Accommodation: Guesthouse or camping in Dongang.
Day 6: Dongang to Beding (3690m)
- Activities: Trek from Dongang to Beding. This section offers stunning views of the Himalayas and the chance to experience local culture.
- Trek Time: Approximately 5-6 hours.
- Accommodation: Guesthouse or camping in Beding.
Day 7: Rest Day in Beding
- Activities: Acclimatize and explore Beding. Visit the local monastery and enjoy the surroundings.
- Accommodation: Guesthouse or camping in Beding.
Day 8: Beding to Na Village (4180m)
- Activities: Trek from Beding to Na Village, a high-altitude settlement with beautiful views of the surrounding peaks.
- Trek Time: Approximately 3-4 hours.
- Accommodation: Guesthouse or camping in Na Village.
Day 9: Explore Dudhkunda (4560m) and Tso Rolpa Lake (4580m)
- Activities: Trek from Na Village to Dudhkunda and then we will walk round back toTso Rolpa Lake. Spend time exploring the lake and its surroundings.
- Trek Time: Approximately 5-6 hours.
- Accommodation: Guest house in Na Village
Day 10: Tso Rolpa Lake to Beding village
- Activities: Trek back from Tso Rolpa Lake to Beding Village.
- Trek Time: Approximately 4-5 hours.
- Accommodation: Guesthouse or camping in Na Village.
Day 11: Beding Village to Simigaon
- Activities: Trek back from Beding Village to Simigaon passing through Dongang, Kelche, and Surmuche. We walk back around 5-6hrs
- Accommodation: Guest house in Simigaon
Day 12: Walk back to Chetchet and drive back to Kathmandu
- Activities: 1-1.30min walk back to Chetchet and drive abck to Kathmandu
- Trek Time: Approxmately 8-10hrs
- Accomodation: Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 13: Full day sightessing around Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddha Stupa
- Drive to Pahupatinath Temple and enjoy sightseeing and then drive back to Bouddhanath Stupa and gonna have Lunch.
- Accomodation: Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 14: Departure
- Activities: Transfer from Hotel to Kathmandu International airport and departure.
